Tina Kanter, founder and President of Beech Tree Consulting, offers extensive retail, strategy and operations experience. Raised in the IKEA culture, Tina has subsequently held management and executive positions in the fashion and home decor industries. Additionally, Tina's significant international experience augments her expertise in retail, sales management, operations and logistics/supply chain management.
Tina has launched several brands and businesses including successfully leading an end-to-end brand launch of Flying Tiger Copenhagen to the North American marketplace. She has also launched and integrated a retail division of Petals Decorative Accents, a classic catalogue and e-commerce firm, building the division from the ground up and devising and implementing the marketing strategy. In addition, she has worked with category leaders such as IKEA, Staples, Gap and Williams Sonoma as well as several smaller development stage fashion companies. Tina has been actively involved in launching 11 diverse businesses.
Tina has provided guidance and consulting services to numerous companies ranging from incubator stage to mature multi-billion dollar firms by sharing her experience and developing a customized recipe of strategic planning, go-to-market stragegy execution, brand management, real estate, store openings / closings, human resources, people development, sales management and methods for ensuring corporate profitability. Tina has lived in several countries and speaks Danish, German, and English fluently.
Tina graduated from Davidson College in 1998 with a BA majoring in German and Sociology and attained her MBA from Babson College's Olin School of Business in 2010.
She leverages her ability to fuse her strategic and analytical skills with creativity and resourcefullness. Through Beech Tree Consulting, Tina provides existing and new clients with fresh, innovative, yet functional ideas to help them achieve their goals of profitability, market share and brand equity.
